Biography:

Before the time of 'Aqua' this has been the largest internationally successfull band, coming from Norway. After struggling for years in England, they got a monster-hit with 'Take On Me' (in 1985)- after it was remixed and packaged with a spectacular video, that even today is considered one of the top 3 music-videos of all time.

After the first record that was a huge success, A-HA steered towards more 'mature' music instead of the synth-pop that made them famous, and even though this was a good move quality-wise, it was bad for business.

A-HA is also one of the few bands that have been chosen to play the title-melody for a James Bond movie ( Living Daylights ), they were the official band for the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer,Norway 1994, and in 1998 they made a comeback performing at the Nobel-concert.

Currently A-HA is producing a comeback-album, which hopefully will be successfull.

The band have since the beginning consisted of Morten Harket, Paul Waaktar-Savoy and Magne Furuholmen. Morten have a solo-career on the side, while Paul and his wife Lauren have started the band Savoy.
