Biography:
Eighteen years old Stig Van Eijk has become a big star in Norway, due to the fact
that he won the Norwegian nationals for the Eurovision Song Contest, with a rather
'Backstreet Boys'-inspired pop-tune. However, he is good for more than that, his
debut-album has sold to Gold, and it's getting good reviews. This album consists of a
mix of pop and ballads.
He didn't do quite as well in the international finals, but stood out as one of the few
artists people remember from Jerusalem '99. His performance was marred by the
fact that the producers failed to fix a problem with his ear-monitor, that consistently
fed him a hi-pitch noise in the ear, during the song - 'Living my life without you'. Not
only did this hamper with his performance, causing him to sing off-key, it also led to
pain in his ears.
Hopefully, he will recover quickly, and conquer the rest of the world, with his catchy
music.
